This is an exceptional 1980s Michael Casey gown, designed in a fabric with a lustrous color shift from blue to black. The bodice and waistline are beautifully draped and gathered, with intricate beadwork incorporated throughout and silk fabric wrapped around the beaded sections. The skirt is exceptionally voluminous and uses a vast amount of silk yardage. It is constructed with two layers of skirt fabric plus a third lining layer. The bodice is lined and closes with a back zipper. This gown is in good condition, with a few tiny marks and a very light watermark on the skirt, both of which require close inspection to notice. There is also one small L-shaped tear on the second layer of the back skirt, which does not show when worn. This gown presents stunningly and is exceptionally well designed.
