This is a documented 1974 Bill Blass halter gown made from snakeskin print silk covered in thousands of glossy clear sequins. The halter neckline leads into an open back and a long, floor length silhouette, with the sequins applied closely to give the gown an incredible reflective surface. The gown is backed in silk chiffon and has the beautiful construction you would expect from Bill Blass eveningwear of this period. Hooks at the back neck and has a back zip. This exact design was featured in a 1974 advertising campaign and is exceptionally rare. The original belt is not included. The bodice has cups that the original owner added; these can be removed if desired.
