The sculpted silhouette features a dramatic shawl collar, fitted bodice with three-quarter sleeves, and a flared mid-length skirt. It has two hidden side slit pockets. Stiff sculpted hip panels. The button detail accentuates the waistline, creating Galanos’s signature hourglass shape. The bodice is fully lined in silk with impeccable interior finishing, couture level. An elegant example of his early Beverly Hills work. His 1950s pieces are very hard to come by. This dress is in excellent condition. Light wear to the buttons, one spot of wear to the back skirt can only be seen when held to the light.
