This is a fabulous cotton piqué novelty print bamboo dress. Designed by Carolyn Schnurer from 1954. This dress had self covered buttons down the front bodice and has a side metal zipper. The amount of tiny pleats around the waist line is truly impressive. The skirt is very full. The bodice is lined. I have hand washed this several times and spot treated it. The bodice lining has some very faint small spots and light yellowing around the edge of the neckline. This dress in very good condition and a collectors item.
