This striking 1940s black straw hat designed in a glossy, cellophane-style woven straw, giving it a light-catching sheen. It features a classic inspired silhouette with a flat crown and wide, straight brim. The hat is trimmed with a dramatic, oversized black velvet bow at the front. Inside, it is finished with a black grosgrain ribbon and labeled Sophie Of Saks Fifth Ave. This hat is in excellent condition and is nearly 80 years old. My dress forms head is 21.5” and it fit perfectly. The length is 13” x 13” and height of 3”
